Unlike Magic: The Gathering game attacked players are not allowed to make choices to defend against incoming attack. The game ends when the hero of either side reaches 0 life. After the end of this phase, the next player turn will start. Players are allowed to directly target a hero or an ally. Players also allowed to order summoned allies to attack or use ally abilities in this phase. In Action Phase, players can proceed to summon ally or use ability cards if they have the resouces needed. If the player do not wish the sacrifice they can pass the turn. Each card sacrificed will grant the player 1 resouce. In Sacrifice Phase, the player needs to sacrifice a card in their hand to gain resources to summon ally and use ability cards. At the start of the game players will draw 6 cards then 1 cards at each time at the start of their turn. The game is divided into Sacrifice Phase and Action Phase. Shadow energy is needed to use hero abilities and the amount of Shadow energy needed by the hero's ability is displayed by the number inside the purple circle beside the ability description.
